Deployment/Psalm 91
Deployment/Psalm 91
$10Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. He will cover you with His feathers and under his wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you; no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent. He will command His angels to guard you in all your ways. “Because they love me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue them, protect them, deliver and honor them. With long life I will satisfy them and show them My salvation.”

$10RE/MAX Tour for the Troops – Warrior One’s New Mission
Warrior One, the famed Hummer, is on the road to help severely injured service members reclaim their independence. RE/MAX International, Inc., sponsors RE/MAX Tour for the Troops to benefit two organizations dedicated to improving the lives of disabled veterans: Fisher House Foundation and Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship Foundation. The H1’s History
Warrior One, a Hummer H1, served CNN journalists embedded with U.S. Marine Corps infantry during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Its news crew reported on coalition forces in the push from Kuwait to Baghdad in March and April 2003. RE/MAX International Co-Founders Dave and Gail Liniger, in support of Fisher House, bought the H1 in 2007 with a bid of $1 million at the 36th Annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Event in Scottsdale, Arizona. Competing bidder Dave Ressler, owner of car dealerships in North Dakota and Montana, contributed an additional $250,000. The entire $1.25 million went directly to Fisher House.Story Captured in Art
In 2007, CNN auctioned the vehicle to benefit the Fisher House Foundation. But first The Learning Channel (TLC) television show “Overhaulin’” customized the vehicle with expert airbrushed images from its mission in Iraq. The “Overhaulin’” team, led by designer Chip Foose, viewed 400 photos from Warrior One’s time in Iraq to choose scenes for the vehicle, including a sleeping bag painted on the hood to represent the prime sleeping spot (off the desert floor, away from the scorpions and camel spiders), a service member reading a letter from home, and an orbiting satellite which appears on the vehicle’s roof. -
